Cookie Notice.

The good news: this site uses no cookies. No banner to dismiss. No preferences to manage. This page exists to explain what we mean by that — and what Cloudflare Web Analytics does track, because it's not nothing.

Effective · July 14, 2026 v1.1
The whole story, in three bullets:
  • This website sets zero cookies. Not strictly necessary, not analytics, not anything.
  • It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, no cross-site tracking — which loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com. That's a third-party request.
  • No newsletter, no signup form, no embedded social widgets.

What is a cookie, and why do sites usually use them?

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Cookies are used for keeping you logged in, remembering settings, and — most notoriously — tracking you across the web for advertising. Because a few of those uses are invasive, EU law (the ePrivacy Directive) requires websites to ask before setting non-essential cookies, which is why every other site you visit asks you to click a banner.

Why this site doesn't have a banner

We chose not to set cookies at all, which means the law doesn't require us to ask. The site works exactly the same for everyone, on every visit. No cross-site tracking, no cookie-based tracking, no preference storage, no dark patterns.

What we do track (and how)

Pageviews — via Cloudflare Web Analytics

Cloudflare, our host, provides Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics tool. It loads a small beacon from static.cloudflareinsights.com and collects:

  • The URL you visited
  • The URL that referred you (if any)
  • Your country, derived from IP (not stored by us)
  • Your browser and OS family (e.g. "Firefox on macOS")
  • The device-type bucket ("desktop," "tablet," "mobile")

No cookies, no localStorage, no fingerprinting, no persistent identifier. Nobody can identify you across visits or sessions from this data.

Server logs

The studio runs no server. Cloudflare, as our host and CDN, processes standard request metadata (IP, user-agent, URL, timestamp) under its own privacy policy.

Third-party services and links on this site

  • Fonts. Self-hosted. Space Grotesk and JetBrains Mono are served from this domain (/assets/fonts/). No third-party font request, no third-party logging.
  • Steam links. On game sub-pages, links to a game's Steam store page are ordinary anchor tags — nothing loads from Steam while you're on our pages. Once you follow a link off-site, Steam's own privacy and cookie rules apply there.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics. A cookieless beacon loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com — the only third-party request our pages actually make. See above.

How to verify this yourself

Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Application or Storage tab, and look at this site's cookies. You should see exactly zero. If you see any, please email us — it's a bug. On the Network tab, you'll see one third-party request — the Cloudflare analytics beacon — plus fonts served from this domain.
